“Working with Endurance” is a project focused on developing a non-invasive, portable health checker. This device allows for accessible and reliable monitoring of physical strain. Umaco collaborates on this project with UMCG Research, Relitech, Lode B.V., aXtion B.V., ProCare B.V., LIFE Cooperative – AccelMed North, HTRIC, and the University of Groningen Engineering Institute of Technology.
The project enables the measurement of physical strain without restricting freedom of movement. Using the collected data, it can be determined whether specific activities are too physically demanding for an employee or patient. The Health Tracker consists of a headset that conducts respiratory and metabolic analysis (developed by Relitech), combined with ECG and motion sensors (developed by Lode Holding). The device will be tested and validated by UMCG on both healthy individuals and patients, within a controlled and relevant (work) environment.
