Distinguished by its modernity, the Valiant 2 Sport presents a smooth start from 0 km/h, with the ability to adjust speed within the range of 1 – 25 km/h (0.6 – 15.5 mph). The speed of the treadmill can be adjusted in the smallest steps of only 0.1 km/h. The design of the cover plate sets it apart, providing a lower profile that accommodates the placement of a mirror or camera at the treadmill’s front, facilitating real-time monitoring of the test running technique. Another advantage is that athletes have nothing obstructing their legs in the front. Consequently, they don’t need to worry about running into anything while exercising.

For enhanced practicality, the Valiant 2 Sport features a standard running surface measuring 70 x 190 cm, allowing ample space for the subject’s movement. Additionally, it offers an incline range of 0 – 25%, ensuring versatility in testing scenarios. Worth highlighting is the fact that the Valiant 2 Sport is also available in an XL version, featuring a running surface of 80 x 200 cm. This versatile solution caters to different spatial requirements while maintaining the treadmill’s exceptional capabilities.

To allow people to safely and comfortably step up the treadmill it is important to have a very low step-up height

The speed of the treadmill can be adjusted in the smallest steps of only 0.1 km/h!

Low cover plate

The motor compartment of the treadmill is designed in such a way that the cover is only marginally higher than the belt surface. This allows for low camera positions in case the treadmill is used for gait analysis purposes. Also a therapist has the best possible view on feet and lower extremities.

Robust design

The product is designed to withstand continuous heavy use by subjects in most weights and sizes.

Downhill walking as an option (-10%)

This treadmill can be executed with 10% negative elevation. This allows for downhill walking which is extremely useful for rehabilitation of certain injuries.

The running belt of 190 × 70 cm is bigger than conventional treadmills which makes it suitable for  a wide range of subjects with different body types. In addition, the touch screen is a major highlight of this treadmill, which not only allows for setting protocols on the screen, but also allows for reading of indicators such as slope, speed, distance, time, heart rate, etc., making it very convenient.

Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to control the Lode ergometers and treadmills with external CPET equipment?

Yes, you can find interface sheets for most common devices on the website at the “interfacing” tab of the product. If your CPET device is not present you can ask us to support you. In most cases we can quickly provide you with a solution.

Can you use the LEM modules with the Valiant treadmill?

Yes the Valiant Treadmill can be controlled by the LEM. The treadmill is supplied with a RS232 port and can be controlled by a seperate communicationport

How do I know how to interface my ECG or ergospirometry device to a Lode product?

In the SERVICE tab of every product, you find all available interfacing options.

You can download a short instruction on how to choose the right settings on your ergometer or treadmill and the ECG or ergospirometry device.

Can I loop Lode rehab products easily?

Yes! It is very easy to create a comfortable rehab setting with Lode rehab products by looping the ergometers:

The first Lode rehab ergometer can be connected to the PC with LCRM with a Lode proprietary network to PC cable (#930930).
The second product up till the last product can be connected to the previous one, a bus network configuration.

The last product always needs a termination plug to avoid interference and loss of data. All Lode rehab products come standard with such a termination plug.

Is there an easy way to move a Valiant2 treadmill?

For easy movement of a Valiant2 treadmill it is recommended to follow these steps:

– Connect the power cable and switch the treadmill on
– Start a manual test and set the inclination to 5%
– When the inclination has reached its target, disconnect the power cord
– Lift the back of the treadmill with two persons and place a mover cart under the black bar that is located under the rear roller.

Now you can wheel the treadmill around.

When you want to return the treadmill in its zero inclination position, simply connect the power cable, switch the treadmill on and initialize the manual mode. When the start button is pressed the treadmill will automatically return to its zero position.

Is it possible to measure heart rate when testing with the Valiant or the Katana?

Yes, to measure heart rate on the treadmills you can use the Smart heart rate option (945833). With this option we can easily cover the range between the receiver and the belt for a stable heart rate measurement.
Note: the 945833 cannot be used as trigger for the blood pressure measurement module.

Is it possible to perform blood pressure measurements when testing with the Valiant or the Katana?

Yes, this is possible in combination with an ECG system. For accurate blood pressure measurements a heart rate trigger is required, therefore an external ECG system is necessary. Which ECG systems are compatible with the Lode devices can be found in the tab Interfacing of the device of interest.

Note: with the Valiant Ultra’s please consider the treadmill size.

Is Lode recommending special disinfection procedures for the Lode products due to COVID-19?

Yes, Due to the fact that the scientific research on the spread of Covid-19 is not yet conclusive Lode recommends to disinfect and clean all Lode products and their accessories (cuffs, heart rate belts, SpO2 sensors, handgrips/rails, touchscreens etc) that are in contact with the patient and or the medical personnel with a standard disinfectant as used in the hospital before and after every patient, with attention and care!

Since these agents are sometimes aggressive it might be advisable to check the effect on sensitive surfaces, like cushioning on non-visible areas. Lode will not take responsibility for discoloration due to these agents.
