The Valiant 2 Rehab treadmill is specifically designed for rehabilitation in the medical field. The standard setup includes an emergency stop activated by a magnetic lanyard, conveniently located on the front handrail.

The Valiant 2 Rehab has a fluid acceleration starting from 0 km/h, with the ability to seamlessly adjust the speed across a spectrum of 0.1 – 12 km/h (0.06 – 7.5 mph). Through the integrated network module, the treadmill becomes an integral part of the Lode software (LEM, LRM, or LCRM), allowing complete control. Notably, the treadmill’s low cover plate design opens avenues for installing a mirror or camera, facilitating real-time gait monitoring of the patient under observation.

Standardized with a walking surface of 50 x 150 cm and a versatile elevation range of 0-25%, the Valiant 2 Rehab shows adaptability and innovation in the pursuit of effective rehabilitation practices.  Notably, alongside the Valiant 2 Rehab, the XL version of this treadmill offers a walking surface of 60 x 170 cm, catering to a range of specific rehabilitation needs.

Frequently asked questions

Is it possible to control the Lode ergometers and treadmills with external CPET equipment?

Yes, you can find interface sheets for most common devices on the website at the “interfacing” tab of the product. If your CPET device is not present you can ask us to support you. In most cases we can quickly provide you with a solution.

Can you use the LEM modules with the Valiant treadmill?

Yes the Valiant Treadmill can be controlled by the LEM. The treadmill is supplied with a RS232 port and can be controlled by a seperate communicationport

Can the Valiant be controlled by LCRM?

Yes the Valiant Treadmill can be controlled by LCRM. The treadmill is supplied with a RS232 port and can be controlled by a seperate com port.

Can I loop Lode rehab products easily?

Yes! It is very easy to create a comfortable rehab setting with Lode rehab products by looping the ergometers:

The first Lode rehab ergometer can be connected to the PC with LCRM with a Lode proprietary network to PC cable (#930930).
The second product up till the last product can be connected to the previous one, a bus network configuration.

The last product always needs a termination plug to avoid interference and loss of data. All Lode rehab products come standard with such a termination plug.

Is there an easy way to move a Valiant2 treadmill?

For easy movement of a Valiant2 treadmill it is recommended to follow these steps:

– Connect the power cable and switch the treadmill on
– Start a manual test and set the inclination to 5%
– When the inclination has reached its target, disconnect the power cord
– Lift the back of the treadmill with two persons and place a mover cart under the black bar that is located under the rear roller.

Now you can wheel the treadmill around.

When you want to return the treadmill in its zero inclination position, simply connect the power cable, switch the treadmill on and initialize the manual mode. When the start button is pressed the treadmill will automatically return to its zero position.

Is it possible to measure heart rate when testing with the Valiant or the Katana?

Yes, to measure heart rate on the treadmills you can use the Smart heart rate option (945833). With this option we can easily cover the range between the receiver and the belt for a stable heart rate measurement.
Note: the 945833 cannot be used as trigger for the blood pressure measurement module.

Is it possible to perform blood pressure measurements when testing with the Valiant or the Katana?

Yes, this is possible in combination with an ECG system. For accurate blood pressure measurements a heart rate trigger is required, therefore an external ECG system is necessary. Which ECG systems are compatible with the Lode devices can be found in the tab Interfacing of the device of interest.

Note: with the Valiant Ultra’s please consider the treadmill size.

Is Lode recommending special disinfection procedures for the Lode products due to COVID-19?

Yes, Due to the fact that the scientific research on the spread of Covid-19 is not yet conclusive Lode recommends to disinfect and clean all Lode products and their accessories (cuffs, heart rate belts, SpO2 sensors, handgrips/rails, touchscreens etc) that are in contact with the patient and or the medical personnel with a standard disinfectant as used in the hospital before and after every patient, with attention and care!

Since these agents are sometimes aggressive it might be advisable to check the effect on sensitive surfaces, like cushioning on non-visible areas. Lode will not take responsibility for discoloration due to these agents.

Will my existing Lode streamers and ergometers still be compatible when I upgrade the LCRM software to a newer version?

Yes you can upgrade to a newer LCRM version without any influence on the total LCRM installation, The Lode Streamers, ergometers and treadmills will work as usual.

Is it possible to lower the workload in case of a sudden SpO2 drop?

SpO2 can be used to control the load of the ergometer. In the tab “SpO2 ” you can choose to use SpO2 for automatic load adjustment and you can edit the settings (see manual LCRM 950902)

Is it possible to use a Karvonen protocol and adjust the percentages with LCRM?

A Karvonen protocol can be selected. In the Karvonen protocol the formula based on maximum heart rate and resting heart rate is implemented: HR (Karvonen) = HRrest + (HRmax – HRrest) * x%. The percentage is defined by the physician depending on the physical improvement of the participant. The resting heart rate and maximum heart rate should be defined in the participant characteristics.
