Reliable BPM during exercise stress testing
This blood pressure monitor is designed for blood pressure measurements during physical activity. Thanks to mechanical and electrical compensation elements, the BP readings remain reliable even during high load exercise tests.
For both stress and resting BP reading, the original auskultatory Korotkov / Riva-Rocci method is used. This is the most widely used method in clinical non-invasive blood pressure measurement. A powerful pump ensures fast and reliable measurement. Thanks to a built-in speaker, original Korotkoff sounds are clearly reproduced. An ECG trigger is not need for reliable BP readings, although it is available if desired.
Thanks to the rapid pre-inflation, the measurement time is very short: a measurement can usually be performed within 30 seconds.
The blood pressure monitor can be used in 2 ways:
1- Fully integrated control by all common ECG or CPET devices
2- As a stand alone device with automatic interval measurements
The cuff is washable, easy to desinfect and dries quickly. A rollstand for your BP monitor is optional available.

How do I clean the BPM Microphone?
The K-sound Microphone can be cleaned using a mild disinfectant wipe (e.g. Sani-Cloth®) and letting the microphone line dry.
How does the BPM option handle extreme situations like atrial or ventricular fibrillation, arrhythmias, pacemakers, etc.
Presence of atrial or ventricular fibrillation, arrhythmias, pacemakers, etc. may interfere with the normal functionality of the BP monitor.
Specifications Blood Pressure Measurement Measurement: Auscultatory, using R-wave gating and k-sound analysis, during all static and active phases of stress testing. Systolic pressures correlate to a K-1 Korotkoff sound. Diastolic pressures correlate to K-5 Korotkoff sound. The device is designed to function in the presence of a normal ECG sinus rhythm. There are some physical conditions (i.e. Bundle Branch Block, Arrhythmias, Arial Fibrillation, Ventricular Fibrillation, Pacemakers, etc.) that may limit the ability of BP Monitor to obtain an accurate reading.
Notes on Blood Pressure Data Any blood pressure reading can be affected by the measurement site, the position of the patient, exercise, or the patient’s physiologic condition. Environmental or operational factors which can affect the performance of the device and/or its blood pressure reading are pacemakers and common arrhythmias such as atrial or ventricular premature beats or atrial fibrillation, arterial sclerosis, poor perfusion, diabetes, age, pregnancy, pre-eclampsia, renal diseases, patient motion, trembling, and shivering.
Is Lode recommending special disinfection procedures for the Lode products due to COVID-19?
Yes, Due to the fact that the scientific research on the spread of Covid-19 is not yet conclusive Lode recommends to disinfect and clean all Lode products and their accessories (cuffs, heart rate belts, SpO2 sensors, handgrips/rails, touchscreens etc) that are in contact with the patient and or the medical personnel with a standard disinfectant as used in the hospital before and after every patient, with attention and care!
Since these agents are sometimes aggressive it might be advisable to check the effect on sensitive surfaces, like cushioning on non-visible areas. Lode will not take responsibility for discoloration due to these agents.
