Why the Corival Recumbent Rehab
Reliable and reproducible stress tests
The experience of professionals who calibrate many ergometers showed that the Lode ergometers are the most reliable across the complete workload and rpm range and still within specifications even after many years of intensive use.
Adjustable back support with flat CPR position
The back support can be adjusted in order to guarantee the most comfort position for each individual test subject. In case of emergency, the back support can be adjusted to a flat CPR position in 1 action.
Maximum patient weight 300 kg
Patients of up to 300 kg body weight can be tested on this ergometer.
Electric adjustable seat positioning
The seat of the ergometer can be adjusted electrically.
Suitable for all body postures
This ergometer is designed to offer comfort ergometry testing for test subject of all body postures.
Product features
Extreme low start up load
The extreme low start-up load of 7 watts and the adjustability in small steps of 1 watt make this ergometer perfectly suitable for many different applications. The standard control unit shows multiple ergometry parameters and you can determine your specific default setting and start-up menu.
Accurate over a long period of time
The Lode ergometers are supplied with an electro-magnetic braking mechanism of Lanooy (eddy current). The biggest advantage of this braking system compared to a friction braking system is the absolute accuracy and the accuracy over time. Moreover, friction braking systems have more wearing parts.
Small adjustment steps
The workload of the Lode ergometers is adjustable in steps of only 1 watt. Depending on your wishes, the test operator or the test subject can adjust the workload. The steps of 1 watt are possible in the manual mode as well as within protocols.
Additional features with PCU
Besides the possibility to program 24 protocols easily, this control unit offers the following features:
– better monitoring because of the additional and larger display
– a perfect combination with BPM
– possibility to measure SpO2
Easy step-through
The ergometer has a comfortable step-through: a must for people who are not so mobile!

Frequently asked questions
Is it possibe to estimate the travelled distance?
This is possible for all ergometers from 2004 on. Since 2009 it is possible to create yourn own calculation by using the adjustable resistance. Note: both pedalling speed and workload are taken into account by estimating the travelled distance.
Is it possible to request RPM and Load data through the RS232 port while cycling in Manual mode.
Yes you can request the actual pedalling speed and power when you are cycling in Manual, Analogue or Terminal mode.
The load will only be returned when the pedalling speed is 30 RPM or more. For technical details see the Lode RS232 protocol
Can I use a RS232 to USB converter to connect an ergometer?
Yes you can. Make sure the chipset used in the converter is from FTDI to have good data acquisition.
Not sure what this means? Contact us and we will help you to get the right converter.
Can I loop Lode rehab products easily?
Yes! It is very easy to create a comfortable rehab setting with Lode rehab products by looping the ergometers:
The first Lode rehab ergometer can be connected to the PC with LCRM with a Lode proprietary network to PC cable (#930930).
The second product up till the last product can be connected to the previous one, a bus network configuration.
The last product always needs a termination plug to avoid interference and loss of data. All Lode rehab products come standard with such a termination plug.
Benefits
– Flawless data connection
– High bandwidth
– No interference of COM ports
– Looping
– Full access of all data in the product to LCRM
Is Lode recommending special disinfection procedures for the Lode products due to COVID-19?
Yes, Due to the fact that the scientific research on the spread of Covid-19 is not yet conclusive Lode recommends to disinfect and clean all Lode products and their accessories (cuffs, heart rate belts, SpO2 sensors, handgrips/rails, touchscreens etc) that are in contact with the patient and or the medical personnel with a standard disinfectant as used in the hospital before and after every patient, with attention and care!
Since these agents are sometimes aggressive it might be advisable to check the effect on sensitive surfaces, like cushioning on non-visible areas. Lode will not take responsibility for discoloration due to these agents.
Will my existing Lode streamers and ergometers still be compatible when I upgrade the LCRM software to a newer version?
Yes you can upgrade to a newer LCRM version without any influence on the total LCRM installation, The Lode Streamers, ergometers and treadmills will work as usual.
Is it possible to lower the workload in case of a sudden SpO2 drop?
SpO2 can be used to control the load of the ergometer. In the tab “SpO2 ” you can choose to use SpO2 for automatic load adjustment and you can edit the settings (see manual LCRM 950902)
Is LCRM compatible with automatic BP measurement devices?
When the automatic Blood Pressure option is available on the Lode ergometer, this module is compatible with LCRM. You can program the blood pressure interval in the exercise protocols.
Is it possible to use the PWC protocol with LCRM?
A Physical Work Capacity (PWC) Protocol can be programmed for the bicycle ergometers. During a PWC protocol the workload will increase every 2 seconds with 1 watt untill the set heart rate is reached. The Workload belonging to the target heart rate is the PWC result which is dependent on the physical condition of the patient.
Is it possible to use a Karvonen protocol and adjust the percentages with LCRM?
A Karvonen protocol can be selected. In the Karvonen protocol the formula based on maximum heart rate and resting heart rate is implemented: HR (Karvonen) = HRrest + (HRmax – HRrest) * x%. The percentage is defined by the physician depending on the physical improvement of the participant. The resting heart rate and maximum heart rate should be defined in the participant characteristics.
