Analog Interface Module (AIM)

The Analog Interface Module (AIM) enables the Excalibur Sport and Excalibur Sport Pedal Force Measurement to output generated load and cadence as proportional analog DC signals for integration with external measurement and data acquisition systems.

The AIM is based on the standard Communication Interface Module (CIM) and adds configurable analog outputs for both power and RPM. When the AIM option is selected, it replaces the standard CIM.

Designed for research and performance environments where synchronization with third-party equipment is required.

The desired power output range can be configured directly through the display menu.

Connectivity

The AIM supports standard analog cabling solutions and can be connected to a wide variety of external measurement systems.

Recommended:

  • Shielded cable
  • Standard 1/4″ stereo (TRS) jack connector
  • Maximum cable length: 10 meters

 

Firmware Requirements

To enable analog output functionality, the Excalibur Sport must run:

  • UIM70 firmware version 1.0.45 or higher
  • UIM35 firmware version 2.0.17 or higher
