Adjustable Sports Cranks incl. Pediatric Range offer stepless crank length adjustment to ensure optimal biomechanics for both children and adults during ergometer-based exercise testing and training. With a length range from 95 to 185 mm, these cranks accommodate users with a minimum leg length of 650 mm, making them especially suitable for pediatric rehabilitation, sports performance labs, and clinical physiotherapy.
This option is factory-installed and replaces the standard crank set during manufacturing. The precision adjustment mechanism allows clinicians and researchers to tailor the setup to each individual’s anatomical requirements, supporting accurate joint loading, comfort, and repeatable test conditions.
Additionally, these cranks are compatible with commercially available click pedals, offering full flexibility for professional cycling applications or specific therapeutic setups.

Is Lode recommending special disinfection procedures for the Lode products due to COVID-19?
Yes, Due to the fact that the scientific research on the spread of Covid-19 is not yet conclusive Lode recommends to disinfect and clean all Lode products and their accessories (cuffs, heart rate belts, SpO2 sensors, handgrips/rails, touchscreens etc) that are in contact with the patient and or the medical personnel with a standard disinfectant as used in the hospital before and after every patient, with attention and care!
Since these agents are sometimes aggressive it might be advisable to check the effect on sensitive surfaces, like cushioning on non-visible areas. Lode will not take responsibility for discoloration due to these agents.
What is the difference between the old black adjustable cranks and the new grey colored cranks?
The grey cranks have had an internal update for the sliding mechanism.
With the black cranks a little ball bearing could fall out when the sliding pieces were removed for pedal exchanges. The new grey cranks have a build in piston with the bearing so it stays in place when removing the sliding blocks from the cranks.
