As of May 1, 2025, Annelies Wolters will assume the role of CEO at Lode Holding, the parent company of the well-known medical technology companies Lode, ProCare, aXtion, Umaco, and Omnium. She succeeds her father, Johannes Wolters, in the family business. Annelies has been part of the executive team for several years. Her brother Freek joined the board as CFO on January 1. With the appointment of Annelies Wolters as CEO, the leadership of the company has officially been passed on to the next generation.
More than 75 years ago, the Groningen-based Lode began developing medical ergometers. Today, the company is internationally recognized in the Life Sciences field, delivering equipment and software worldwide that enable professionals to assess and improve human performance. Annelies is proud to take over the reins: “We believe that movement is a crucial factor for a long and happy life, and it is a privilege to contribute to that mission every day together with over 100 colleagues.”
Following a celebratory farewell for Johannes Wolters—who served the company for 40 years, including 33 years as major shareholder and 25 years as CEO—the new generation looks to the future with great confidence. CFO Freek remarks: “Annelies and I have been part of the executive team for some time and have helped shape the company’s direction, with our growth and innovation strategy playing a key role.” Johannes steps down with peace of mind: “We have followed a careful transition process together, and I am confident that Lode Holding will continue to be a responsible, reliable, sustainable, and innovative partner with an international outlook and strong regional roots.”
